The Technical Fundamentals (TF) section of the test will enable SSN SASE to determine whether the students have the capability to apply the fundamental concepts of computer science in a given situation. The emphasis of the test is to know whether the student has enough knowledge that will make him successful to pursue post-graduate studies.

The Quantitative and Analytical Reasoning (QAR) section of the test will test the basic application skills of the student, and to assess whether the candidate is able to apply simple mathematical and statistical reasoning skills to solve problems.

The Verbal Ability (VA) section will test the student's general aptitude in verbal skills. Especially in a course where communication skills play an intensive role, this section of the test will enable SSN SASE to identify potential candidates with sufficient skills.

The Writing Skills (WS) section is used to evaluate the students on their skills to express their views clearly.

The structure of the test is similar to the Entrance test of Post Graduate Programs (CAT, GMAT, GRE, and TOEFL). CGAT is common to all specializations, except for the technical fundamentals section (TF) where MSIT-SE will attend Part B while MSIT-ESE will attend Part C. There is no separate test for individual specialization.
